Cheesy Chicken Fajita stuffed Buns
Stuffed buns are ideal for dinners and lunch boxed when there are kids around. Those hearty buns are sure to make them excited. Happy adults are bonus!
Recipe:
Boneless chicken cubes (about1/2 an icnh) — 500-700 gms
garlic cloves (minced) — 2-3
salt — 1 tsp
chilli powder — 1 tsp
cumin powder — 1 tsp
lemon juice — 2 tbsp
corn starch — 2 tbsp
water — 1/4 cup
Brown sugar (optional) —- 2 tbsp
Olive oil — 4 tbsp
Onions (diced) — 2 medium
Bell peppers (diced) — 2 midium
Chedder cheese (shredded) — 1 cup
Egg — 1
Sesame seeds – 3 tbsp

Marinate chicken with all spices, lemon juice, corn starch and water. Cook on medium heat in olive oil until tender…takes about 7-10 minutes. Add brown sugar and stir for a minute. Add onions and bell peppers. Cook for one minute, just until onions gets translucent. Turn off the heat, add cheese and mix well. Let the mixture cool down completely before stuffing.
Make small balls of dough of equal. Flatten each ball and spoon in about 2 table spoons of chicken mixture in the middle. Do not over fill to avoid the tearing of dough. Pinch together the dough on side to seal it,,,just like a pouch. Smooth into a ball in your hands. Keep making buns one by one and placing them in a greased baking tray with sealed side downwards. Keep some distance between them. Cover them for 15 minutes to give them rest and rise again. Eggwash them and sprinkle sesame seeds. Bake in preheated oven at 200C for 20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
